Did you know that the term "plinth" is incorrectly used as an element related to a window? Do you know what a clamp is and what distinguishes it from a tie rod? There are many cases of incorrect usage of technical terminology in both practice and execution. Some mistakes may seem less important, but when you want what you design/draw/execute to match what it should be, when you want the image or craftsmanship with which the detail is resolved to be remarkable, every detail matters. Using the correct terms for each element in various situations (from their use in architectural drawings to their use on site), in accordance with the legislation in the field, ensures efficient and, most importantly, professional communication.
The terms presented will inevitably appear in all courses and workshops organized within D&A, so this workshop can be a starting point for progressing through other modules. The workshop will ensure, in a practical manner, based on explanations, guided exercises, and dialogue, mastery of the specific terminology, with the "lesson" being learned by the end of the workshop.
