The course "ACOUSTICS IN BUILDINGS. PROTECTION AGAINST NOISE. ACHIEVEMENT OF INTERIOR ACOUSTIC COMFORT" is addressed to both architects and civil engineers, as well as doctors and sociologists, dealing with the problem of controlling the noise throughout its entire course - from its occurence to the receiver - offering solutions for the implementation of field-specific principles for different types of buildings and their functions. Due to its increasingly aggressive harmful nature and its presence in almost all areas of life, noise pollution has become a major and prioritised issue.
Fighting against noise should be one of the major concerns of all those involved in the development of inhabited areas, and the main objective should be to create a pleasant sound environment for everyday life. EU Regulation No. 305/2011 of 9 March 2011 of the European Parliament provides: "The building must be designed and constructed in such a way that the noise perceived by the occupants or by persons nearby is maintained at a level that does not endanger their health and allows them to sleep, rest and work in satisfactory conditions".
The concepts presented in the course can contribute to the preparation of candidates for the verifier and expert exams for requirement F "Noise protection"
