While such a sign may help us be cautious about where we step, it should not appear to make up for design mistakes in detail. Correct technical solutions take into account various situations that might arise, the characteristics of materials, system behaviors, time-related behaviors, etc. Have you ever walked in the rain on Bulevardul Unirii, the sidewalk by the Unirea Mall? With a pair of smooth-soled shoes, you feel like you're at a disco... and we're talking about a public space with very strict requirements. In this applied workshop, we focus on how such situations can be avoided, including by understanding the correct ways of representation in detail, because, ultimately, representation is how we express and convey requirements to the construction site. How and why should different layers be represented or solved? What is their logic in specific situations? These are just a few of the questions we will address through exercises during the workshop.
For this workshop, we recommend completing the course "FLOORS. Design requirements based on Romanian legislation" in advance (link to the course or click directly on the course name to go to the course page on dsia.ro).
