We may shy away from roof with multiple slopes because they can present various difficulties during execution, or we avoid them in design because, often, we prefer a terrace-style roof. If we are dealing with a thatched roof (for the Danube Delta area) or a tiled roof over an attic or other special details, things get even more complicated. However, these challenges should not discourage us. The image of a roof in the landscape or the atmosphere of a usable space under the roof (also with aesthetic reasons) may lead us to such solutions. Functional and technical reasons can also be easily added, but these must be supported by a detailed understanding of specific requirements, behaviors over time, challenges in execution, maintenance needs, etc. In this workshop, we will correlate such information, focusing on the most suitable solutions for specific situations, through technical representation.
For this workshop, we recommend completing the course "ROOFS WITH TRUSSES. Design requirements based on Romanian legislation" in advance.
